Sussex Golf & Curling Club welcomes players of all skill levels, but especially wants those new to the game to feel comfortable and at ease when learning to curl.  Beginning curlers can take advantage of several opportunities this season at our Club:

OPEN HOUSE - Sunday, November 20.  Think you MIGHT be interested, but have NEVER set foot on a curling rink?  This is a great time to come out, put on a slider, and get a feel for the ice and rocks.  Volunteer members will offer beginner instruction, in a relaxed, non-inhibitive atmosphere.   Bring the whole family!

MEMBER-TO-MEMBER INSTRUCTION - Sussex Golf & Curling Club has the GREATEST members in the world!  They are helpful and always willing to volunteer time to entice new curlers to the game.  Call the Club if you would like to arrange some time with a volunteer "instructor", at 433-4951, ext.2.

STICK CURLING - Not sure about getting down in the hack (or getting back up)?  Stick curling is becoming more popular, not just with senior curlers, but with anyone who may experience discomfort or loss of balance when in a squatting position.   Throw your rock from an upright position... try it!

TRY IT FOR FREE! - Our Open House is a great opportunity to try curling for free.   Hope you can join us!

NO EQUIPMENT NECESSARY - We have the brooms and sliders you need.  Just bring clean, indoor footwear to change into before heading onto the ice.  And dress in layers!
